Recently I was investigating the Tobacco Industry’s involvement in Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)…
University of California San Francisco stated, “Tobacco companies have started selling their own nicotine replacement products.”

A new study conducted by scientists at UC San Francisco reports that tobacco companies have known since 1996 that… NRT hardly ever works, and that consumers often use it to complement smoking.
According to New Scientist, the success rate people have in quitting smoking by various methods are Will power 3.4%, Placebo effect 4%, Patches 6.2%, Gum 7%, Vaping 7.3 %, Prescription meds 9%- 15%, and Acupuncture 24%.
I admit- I was shocked by the low success rate of these methods…

1) Focus on your craving in what may seem an unusual way. Focus on where in their body the craving is (example is it in their stomach or chest).
2) Focus on what that craving would look like if it was a physical object within their body.
a. What size would it be?

d. What weight would it be?
e. What color is it?
f. What movement it moving in?
3) Begin to alter the experience (experience what happens when they change the size, making it larger or smaller, what happens if they change the texture, making it smoother, or more jagged)
a. What happens if you move it to a different location in your body?
b. What happens if you increase the movement or decrease the movement?
c. What happens if you change the color or remove all color?
4) Go through these options and any others you can think of and notice which options make the craving worse and which options make the craving less or totally disappear.
5) What you want to do then is remember what had the greatest positive effect on the craving and then make these few changes. Remembering and practicing making those changes so that if they are needed in the future, you can quickly make those few changes and the craving will disappear.
